Logistics solutions provider DX has launched a new hyperlocal capability to its DX SameDay service, offering additional services for customers with short-distance, high-volume or multi-site delivery requirements.
The new capability can support both regular deliveries, between multiple locations in close proximity, as well as one-off consignments. It can be accessed via the DX Logistics website, telephone or email channels, and collections are guaranteed within 60 minutes of booking confirmation for suitable vehicle types.
Deliveries are GPS tracked and actively monitored throughout, providing customers with visibility of each consignment and proof of delivery in real time.
Steve Bescoby, managing director of DX SameDay, commented, “Same-day delivery is evolving. For many businesses, it is no longer reserved for exceptional or time-critical requirements. It is increasingly becoming part of how they manage day-to-day operations, particularly across multi-site locations.
“Our investment in hyperlocal capability reflects that evolution. It gives us the ability to apply the responsiveness and visibility of DX SameDay to shorter-distance, higher-volume delivery requirements, and opens up more ways for our customers to use the service.
“Ultimately, we want DX SameDay to become an integral part of how our customers deliver for their customers.”
