The winners of this year’s Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards have been announced during a live awards ceremony at Parcel+Post Expo in London, UK. The ceremony, held on Wednesday, September 23, revealed who triumphed in each of the eight award categories.
Service Provider of the Year: Nova Post
This year’s Service Provider of the Year award went to Nova Post for its continued resilience in the face of challenging operations during the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In 2025, Nova Post processed a record 522 million shipments (up from 372 million in 2021, despite ongoing war). Handling over 1.5 million parcels daily, Nova Post operates a vast network exceeding 50,000 service points, including Europe’s largest APM network.
To maintain this scale, Nova Post continuously invests in high-tech infrastructure. Its automated sorting hubs can process up to 50,000 parcels per hour. Crucially, Nova Post maintains absolute delivery continuity under extreme wartime conditions through comprehensive energy resilience, integrating solar power, cogeneration systems and large-scale battery storage.
Today, Nova Post is the indisputable backbone of Ukrainian e-commerce, trusted by 97% of national online retailers. Beyond domestic leadership, Nova Post has expanded its cross-border logistics presence across 16 European countries and the USA.
By combining cutting-edge technology, operational excellence and unmatched resilience, Nova Post demonstrates how postal and parcel operators can remain commercially successful and globally competitive in a rapidly changing logistics market.

Supplier of the Year: Hurricane
For a decade, Hurricane has been the compliance backbone for postal operators worldwide and in 2026 the company took that trust and gave it teeth, making it worthy winners of the Supplier of the Year award.

The company was recognized for its Global Trade Ecosystem (GTE) product, which delivers full PDDP, DDP and DAP checkout capability on any trade lane, globally, providing customers with accurate landed costs, upfront duty and tax collection and end-to-end compliance in one platform.
The launched of the GTE system was timely, with the EU eliminating de minimis on July 1, 2026 and the USA pulling its thresholds in August 2025. The UK will also phase out its de minimis threshold by 2029. According to Hurricane, posts that cannot offer pre-paid delivery will watch their shippers walk to commercial alternatives. GTE is the flexible orchestration layer that does it all – payments, escrow, compliance, logistics, tracking, IOSS and customs clearance – and it is configurable per trade lane with no extra integration for new corridors. Hurricane’s Global Assure system adds browser-based access without API integration.
Hurricane built the infrastructure global posts need at the exact moment the regulatory walls are going up, reinforcing its position as a partner that posts already trust, with the tools the market now demands.

Business Diversification of the Year: Nova Post – Nova Ads omnichannel retail media network
Nova Post was triumphant in the Business Diversification of the Year category with its Nova Ads service – a retail media network built entirely on its physical footprint and first-party data that unifies a wide range of advertising inventory, including mobile app and website placements, CRM communications, in-branch digital screens, digital out-of-home formats, transit media, packaging and last-mile advertising surfaces. This enables brands to engage customers across the full journey within a single environment.

The core innovation of Nova Ads lies in combining logistics infrastructure with retail media capabilities. Using Nova Post’s transactional and behavioral data, the platform enables precise audience segmentation and targeted communication in a privacy-safe framework. This improves campaign performance compared to traditional mass advertising and positions Nova Ads within the rapidly expanding retail media market.
A second innovation is accessibility for SMEs. Via a self-service advertising cabinet integrated into Nova Post’s business ecosystem, more than 300,000 clients can launch campaigns within minutes.
As a standalone business unit, Nova Ads quickly proved its financial viability. In 2025, it generated US$1.55m in revenue, with a projected US$2.82m for 2026 (an 81% YoY growth). In its first year, it already contributed over 1% to the company’s net profit.

Transportation Innovation of the Year: Pošta Slovenije – PS Delivery Points
Pošta Slovenije won the Transportation Innovation of the Year award for its PS Delivery Points, a nationwide digital platform that transforms how it plans and operates postal transportation and sets a new standard for data-driven delivery management.

Launched in September 2025, PS Delivery Points creates a living digital twin of Slovenia’s delivery network by capturing real delivery micro-locations, service times and route movements via a mobile app used by all postal delivery staff in their daily work. Every delivery becomes a data point, feeding a central planning system that provides a real-time view of more than 836,000 households across 1,578 delivery districts, enabling decisions based on how the network truly behaves in practice.
The results are measurable and strategically significant. Delivery district planning and reorganization cycles have been cut by 50%, saving 1,243 planning hours per year. Improved network design delivers a saving of around 60 working hours per postal worker annually. Optimized routes are expected to reduce annual mileage by 2,200,000km, lowering operating costs, reducing CO₂ emissions and enabling smarter, better-targeted deployment of electric vehicles across the fleet.
Unlike traditional planning tools that rely on static address databases and assumptions, PS Delivery Points uses continuously updated micro-location intelligence to power a self-learning digital twin that improves over time. This makes Pošta Slovenije’s transportation planning more precise, more responsive and more sustainable than conventional industry approaches – and positions the solution at the forefront of delivery route optimization system innovations in Europe.

Environmental Achievement of the Year: bpost and Geotab – CO2-neutral last-mile fleet
bpost’s sustainability target is a fully CO2-neutral last-mile fleet by 2030, across 10,000 to 11,000 electric vans. Geotab’s award-winning connected fleet data is the operational foundation making that transition financially and logistically feasible.

Using Geotab’s rich EV data on route distances, battery state of charge and real consumption profiles, bpost’s sustainability team designed a system of alternated charging that reduced site power demands significantly – avoiding the need for costly high-voltage infrastructure upgrades across depots. Drivers received data-backed coaching to improve energy efficiency and reduce range anxiety. The outcomes are concrete: a 10% reduction in diesel consumption from their ICE fleet, saving €1.8m (US$2m) in fuel costs; EVs proven at 8.9% lower TCO than equivalent ICE vans; and fleet size reduced by 2.1% – resulting in 210 fewer vehicles on the road while EV numbers doubled since the end of 2024.
bpost is now planning the next phase: vehicle-to-grid integration and solar-linked depot infrastructure, using Geotab data to model how vehicle batteries can feed back into the grid and how charging can be synchronized with on-site renewable generation.
Geotab’s platform turns EV data into a tool for systemic decarbonization: not just vehicle procurement, but smarter infrastructure, smarter routes and smarter driver behavior at scale.

E-commerce Fulfilment Technology of the Year: Hurricane – Global Trade Ecosystem (GTE)
The Hurricane Global Trade Ecosystem (GTE), the first flexible orchestration layer purpose-built for cross-border e-commerce fulfilment in the post-de-minimis era, was the winner in the E-commerce Fulfilment Technology of the Year category.

Cross-border e-commerce now lives or dies at the checkout. From July 1, 2026, the EU eliminated de minimis, while the USA pulled its thresholds in August 2025. Every shipment crossing those borders without pre-paid duty and tax is a ticking time bomb of doorstep refusals and returns. Hurricane GTE solves it at the point that matters – before the order is placed.
GTE plugs into the e-commerce checkout and orchestrates everything that follows. The shopper sees the true landed cost, duty, tax, clearance and admin fees, calculated against Hurricane’s decade-validated trade intelligence. Payment is processed and held in escrow until delivery, with all parties paid on schedule. Compliance checks, denied parties screening, IOSS, customs clearance and tracking all run within the same platform.
The architecture is flexible by design. Retailers, marketplaces and carriers configure GTE per trade lane, switching capabilities on and off per corridor. New lanes need no additional development, just web-based configuration. Hurricane Global Assure provides browser-based access without API integration.
This is fulfilment technology that turns the regulatory disruption of 2026 from a threat into an advantage.
