Your role in our team
You will perform on-site technical and operational management and support of Industrial Electrical Power and Control systems, including installation, integration, testing, commissioning, verification and maintenance of complex high speed/volume parcel handling systems.
You will oversee and manage 3rd party installation subcontractors (mechanical and electrical) to successfully deliver project installations.
You will help identify additional opportunities including time and material work, system extensions. upgrades and service contact expansions. Support planning and estimating of labor categories, rates, material dollar costs, transportation expenses and per diem rates to complete complex proposals.
You will perform the review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provide continual guidance throughout task duration.
You will perform site surveys to assess building conditions and develop/ installation plans in accordance with company policies and procedures.
You will complete and submit regular reports covering all jobsite activities.
You will ensure jobsite tools, test equipment, etc., issued by the Company are maintained in good condition, kept secure and tested
You will represent the Company at customer premises in a professional manner at all times
You will comply with all company policies, procedures, and practices through consistent work practices.
You will ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the company Code of Business Conduct.
You will adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act work, and in compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
You will report any unsafe conditions, unsafe acts or defects in any equipment or protective device
You will ensure that the required personal protective equipment (PPE) is used for the assigned tasks.
You will attend all required health, safety, and environmental training.
You will report any accidents/incidents.
You will complete appropriate company documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Attend personal training programs and project related meetings.
Your profile
You have a combination of education and 5-8 years experience with industrial control systems, PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, MCC’s and electrical power distribution systems.
Your BS/BA in related discipline and Industrial Electrician 442A Certification would be considered an asset.
You have experience with complex parcel logistics conveyor systems or related systems and equipment.
You are Capable of reading and understanding electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, reference manuals and systems instruction guides.
You are experienced in applying complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular area of specialization.
You are familiar with continuous improvement processes and methodologies.
You are fluent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint etc.) and Windows operating systems
You have a strong command of the English language with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
You are self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges and tasks.
You are comfortable working in fast paced, deadline driven environment.
You are dependable with a great work ethic and attendance
You have the ability to demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.
You have successfully applied complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
You have demonstrated knowledge of organization’s business practices and issues.
You are able to travel up to 100% of the time to customer locations
You are flexible in working hours between days, afternoons & nights (including weekends) and willing to work additional hours in order to meet deadlines.
You have a driving license in good standing.
You are physically able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted, climb ladders and cranes, work at heights exceeding 60 feet, work in conditions of +5C to -25C.
