Fimec Technologies, a provider of parcel unloading solutions, has unveiled its new virtual commissioning and Oculus virtual reality tool at Post-Expo in Paris. According to Fimec, the virtual solution enables the company to replicate how its products will work prior to real commissioning.

Engineers control and validate the program and operator/machine interface at the early stages of a project, enabling a smooth transition between 3D simulation and working operations.

Through the Oculus virtual reality tool, visitors to Fimec’s stand (5040) at Post-Expo have enjoyed an immersive computer-simulated experience, which replicates the technology and enables interaction with the equipment. As a result, it is easy for people to see how the solution can benefit them.

Fimec also announced a new contract with TNT in Australia to equip its logistics centers with the U-Care P unloaders. The U-Care P solution automatically unloads pallets and large postal containers measuring up to 2,300mm high, with a nominal capacity of two unloading operations per minute.

Fimec has also secured contracts with Australia Post and has equipped two of its centers with two U-Care P unloaders and 16 U-Care C tippers.
