Your role in our team
You will develop electrical layouts, schematics, and installation details to support the control and system functionality of material handling systems (MHS) and products.
You will be responsible for interpreting specifications and understanding electrical design code regulations (National Electric Code, National Fire Protection Agency, etc.) for material handling systems.
You will produce reports on project progress and other details for managerial staff.
You will provide technical support and guidance for the manufacturing and installation of electrical systems and components.
You will ensure electrical deliverable requirements (design drawings, purchase requisitions, technical content, etc.) adhere to the project schedule.
You will support the first article’s tests of electrical control panels and subsystem testing.
You will support electrical installation quote documentation (RFQ) development.
You will design and specify cable and wire size, overload, transformer and power supply, and programmable logic controller (PLC) components.
You will provide technical guidance during electrical installation activities.

Your Profile
You have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
You have MHS electrical design experience and at least 5+ years of experience in machinery control system and electrical panel design
You are adept in CAD drafting tools, such as AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
You have strong knowledge of North American Standards: NFPA, NEC, UL/cUL, CSA & International, and European Standard IEC/CE.
You are experienced in electrical hardware design, electrical parts selection (not electronics)
You have experience with PLC hardware and network communication design, Ethernet IP, ProfitNet, Profibus, etc.
You possess strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
You are detail-oriented and have time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and focus on project schedules
You act as a team player with the ability to work in a team environment, collaborate effectively with coworkers and team members
You bring leadership and creativity
You exhibit customer orientation by engaging customers and responsiveness to customer requirements to benefit and generate business for Körber
You have knowledge of how to calculate and select a motor, drive, transformer, power supply, converter, contact, overload, relay, safety relay, cable, wire, heat dissipation
You have hands-on experience using design and calculation software
You have a deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes
You have strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
