Bring has added the MAN eTGX first heavy-duty electric truck into its fleet in Denmark. The 25m-long truck has a range of approximately 550km and will operate on the route between Bring’s terminals in Taulov and Greve.
Steffan Møbius, responsible for Bring’s linehaul operations, commented, “This is the first heavy-duty electric truck in our Danish fleet. At the same time, we’re carrying out a broad electrification initiative, with the goal that all parcel deliveries using vans in Denmark will be 100% electric by the end of 2025.”
The truck is equipped with five battery packs and has side skirts that reduce air resistance. The side skirts also cover some of the wheels, which further reduces friction and thereby optimizes energy consumption over long distances, according to Bring.
“Our first heavy-duty electric truck is an important step in our efforts to reduce our climate footprint across the entire logistics chain,” Møbius added. “Heavy transport is the hardest part of our operations to transition– but also the part with the most emissions. Denmark may be a small country, but we have big ambitions.”
