UK-based post and parcel operator Direct Entry Solutions (DES) has appointed Paul Reynolds (left) as vice president of sales to lead the company’s expanding parcel services.

Before joining DES, Reynolds worked as the business development director, third-party logistics, for MetaPack, and has also served in senior management roles at UK Mail, DHL and UPS.

In his new role, Reynolds will drive sales activities in the UK parcel and e-commerce sectors, oversee key account relationships, co-develop the sales team in the UK and expand DES’s sales network globally.

Phil Coleman, CEO of DES, said, “We are delighted to announce Paul’s appointment. While we remain committed to our wholesale mail and printed matter business we also wish to respond to growing interest in PacketPort and increase our sales activities with UK e-commerce focused companies. Paul brings considerable business development experience and success to DES, which will prove invaluable as we build-out our existing sales team in the UK and look strategically at future sales opportunities internationally.”

Reynolds said, “I am really excited to be leading the sales team into the next exciting stage of DES’s development. DES has redefined what mail and logistics are capable of achieving for wholesalers. I am looking forward to bringing our parcels business to the attention of retailers, and ensuring they gain the maximum benefit from our solutions and customer service.”
