Henning Christensen has resigned as CEO of PostNord Denmark and will be leaving the group at the end of June. He has declined any offers to take on another role within the group. He will be immediately succeeded by Peter Kjaer Jensen (left), currently operating as the head of business area logistics at PostNord.

Håkan Ericsson, president and group CEO of PostNord, said, “Henning Christensen has done a very good job in getting political acceptance of the necessary regulatory changes now taking place. He has also led the challenging and comprehensive change of our Danish operations with great commitment.

“PostNord Denmark now needs both a continued focus on a quick cost adjustment to the lower mail volumes and to expand the logistics operations which requires a different leadership profile. Peter Kjaer Jensen has a strong leadership profile to manage the continuing adjustment process, build up the company’s logistics operations and quickly get the company back to an acceptable profitability.”

A new head of the business area for PostNord’s logistics operations will be recruited shortly.
