Educational toy manufacturer VTech has extended its contract with logistics specialist iForce, continuing a partnership that has been in place since 2002. The contract involves managing several activities for VTech’s distribution business in the UK including retail orders, stock control and returns.

iForce, whose client list also includes John Lewis, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose Cellar, supplies a complete outsourced logistics solution to VTech’s site at Milton Park, Oxfordshire, UK. VTech’s stock, imported from Hong Kong, is stored, and then individual orders built and distributed to customers, with bulk orders sent directly to retailers to be sold on. Each bulk order is specially configured, packaged and labeled to enable immediate sale.

Paul Holding, operations director for VTech, said, “iForce has built up an excellent understanding of VTech customers’ warehousing and logistical needs. I am pleased that we have come to an agreement to continue our relationship.”

Brian Gaunt, iForce CEO, said, “iForce’s relationship with VTech spans over thirteen years and the diversity of VTech’s business needs has been a fantastic opportunity to utilize our flexibility and system capability. We are delighted to continue this working partnership with VTech.”
