La Poste Groupe targets €40bn revenue and 3.6 billion parcels per year by 2031

La Poste Groupe has unveiled a five-year strategic plan, ‘Succeed Together – Ambitions 2031,” setting a target of €40bn (US45bn) in revenue by 2031, an increase of €6bn (US$6.9bn) compared with 2025 on a like-for-like basis.

The plan centers on four priorities: accelerating commercial growth, delivering what the group calls “meaningful performance,” turning sustainable development into a competitive advantage, and transforming the company alongside its employees.

On parcels, La Poste Groupe aims to consolidate its leadership in France and become Europe’s number two player in out-of-home delivery. The group is targeting growth in cross-border shipments, new home delivery services such as same-day delivery, and an expansion of its partner retailer and locker network to 190,000 locations. It also plans to grow its logistics business, particularly store replenishment, through its Log’issimo service.

By 2031, the group wants one in every two parcels in France delivered by its three operators – Colissimo, Chronopost and DPD France – and aims to increase the number of parcels delivered worldwide from 2.7 billion to 3.6 billion.

The plan includes €10bn (US$11.5bn) in investment over its duration, dedicated to modernizing distribution centers, hubs and IT and industrial infrastructure, as well as bancassurance operations.

In France, Colissimo will invest €80m (US$92m) in a new platform in Gondreville, in the Grand Est region, due to begin operations in 2027. Chronopost will open a depot in Bobigny in 2027 and a hub in Arras in 2028. Outside France, a new hub is set to open in Madrid in 2027, alongside new depots in Poland and the UK.

The group also plans to expand its use of data and AI in industrial operations, including continuous improvements to the sorting, planning and tracking of logistics flows.

On sustainability, La Poste Groupe is targeting a 24% reduction in CO2 emissions across its industrial and commercial operations by 2031, based on Scopes 1 and 2 and Categories 3 and 4 of Scope 3, excluding bancassurance assets.

Marie-Ange Debon, chairwoman and CEO of La Poste Groupe, said, “Today, geopolitical and economic tensions are rising, consumer behaviors are changing at an unprecedented pace and competition is intensifying and becoming increasingly global. With ‘Succeed Together – Ambitions 2031,’ we want to take a new step forward: accelerate commercial growth by leveraging the trust our customers place in us, deliver meaningful performance, and turn our civic commitment into a competitive advantage.”
