Mail distribution specialist Direct Entry Solutions (DES), owner of parcel delivery provider PacketPort, opened its new international mail and parcels facility near London Heathrow Airport on September 17, 2015.

The new 10,580ft² depot will house 40 employees and provides an operational base for the company’s UK extra territorial office of exchange (ETOE) cooperation with Austrian Post. This will involve processing and dispatching international mail on behalf of Austrian Post.

The facility is also custom-designed to provide DES’s core services to the wholesale market and to support the development of premium wholesale solutions. Services on-site include international priority, non-priority, direct entry and alternative distribution mail products, together with DES’s PostPort and PacketPort solutions for mail and parcel delivery management. DES will be able to process over 30 tons of mail each day in a modern, secure and environmentally sustainable facility.

Phil Coleman, chief executive of DES, said, “We are thrilled to be opening our new facility. This is a tremendous milestone for DES and our customers. The new location offers us a fantastic environment to develop and expand our services with Austrian Post and introduce a truly high quality mailing service into the UK wholesale market.”
