The global contract logistics market reached €305.95bn (US$348bn) in 2025, its fastest annual growth since 2021, according to Ti Insight’s (Transport Intelligence) Global Contract Logistics 2026 report, which was published July 23.
The market is forecast to grow to €318.58 billion (US$362.72bn) in 2026 and €372.6bn (US$424.22bn) by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.0% between 2025 and 2030.
Growth is uneven across regions, the report states. Asia-Pacific is leading expansion with a forecast 6.6% CAGR through 2030, while Europe (1.8%) and North America (2.6%) show a more mature, efficiency-led growth profile, with providers in those regions focusing on margin and operational consolidation rather than expansion.
The report identifies three themes shaping the market: continued mergers and acquisitions as providers pursue geographic and vertical expansion; the shift of AI and robotics from pilot projects to embedded operational capability, with 25 of 29 identified use cases already in production; and a procurement shift toward reliability and flexibility, with shorter, one-year contract terms becoming the market norm.
By segment, distribution accounts for approximately 56% of the market, warehousing 36% and value-added services 9%. DHL Supply Chain leads among providers with €17.8bn (US$20.27bn) in revenue, followed by GXO Logistics with €11.7bn (US$13.3bn) post-Wincanton acquisition. Operating margins among the top 10 providers range from 1.9% (GXO) to 10.1% (UPS Supply Chain Solutions).
Paul Chapman, the report’s author, said, “The global contract logistics market is proving resilient, with growth accelerating after several years of disruption. However, the next stage of expansion will not be evenly distributed. Asia-Pacific is set to drive global growth, while established markets focus on productivity improvements, automation and higher-value services. The competitive landscape is being reshaped by consolidation, AI adoption and a fundamental shift in how companies approach supply chain partnerships.”
