The Very Group, which operates digital retailers Very and Littlewoods, has partnered with InPost UK to offer customers parcel collection from the company’s nationwide locker network for the first time.
Customers can now choose to collect orders from more than 14,000 InPost locker locations across the UK, with standard and next-day delivery options available. Locker delivery will be free on standard orders over £30.
The move into outbound delivery follows Very’s earlier rollout of InPost lockers for returns, which the company says has seen strong uptake. More than 30% of Very’s returns are now processed through the InPost network. The group cited consumer research carried out by Yonder Data Solutions in partnership with InPost in January of of this year that reported that 58% of UK consumers consider parcel lockers a better option than home delivery, with two in five adults using them regularly.
Sean Hallows, chief operations and technology officer at The Very Group, said, “We know that the families we serve are tight on time, so to be able to give them the option to collect their delivery at a time that suits them, from a convenient location, really does offer a new level of ease.”
Jon Nicholson, chief commercial officer at InPost UK, said, “Very is a retailer that genuinely understands its customers and extending our partnership into outbound delivery made complete sense. When over 30% of their returns were already coming through our locker network, that told us the demand was there and customers were actively choosing it.”
