Smartmile has partnered with Finnish telecom provider Elisa to offer instant parcel collection for customers through its Smartmile Now service.

From April 29, customers in Finland can instantly pick up phones they have ordered from Elisa’s online store in cities of Turku, Tampere, Porvoo, Kirkkonummi and Tuusula. Products are instantly available for pick-up from robotic parcel machines after being ordered online, with some parcel machines open 24/7.

“We are constantly developing better services and better experiences for our customers. It is great to bring our new Smartmile Now service to the market with Elisa. We are setting a new standard for delivery speed by reducing delivery time to the 25 seconds it takes to collect your product from our parcel machines. So far, our service with Elisa is available in five cities in Finland and our goal is to expand all over Finland,” said Smartmile’s CEO Aku Happo.

“Elisa wants to be a forerunner in customer service. We want to offer various service options to our customers. According to our surveys, our customers want different options when it comes to delivery. A pre-loaded robotic parcel machine enables easy shopping – even around the clock. This is a major help in situations where you need the phone fast and you want to decide yourself when to pick it up”, Elisa’s service director Jukka Lehto commented.

Smartmile Now will be available in Elisa’s online store for phone models that are most in demand by Elisa’s customers. Customers simply choose Smartmile Now from the delivery options and will receive a code via text message to collect their phone from their selected parcel machine.

Smartmile parcel machines are located indoors and outdoors at K Group stores – the outdoor machines are open 24/7.
