Austrian parcel locker company Myflexbox has partnered with supermarket chain Kaufland to install lockers at locations across Germany.
The last-mile solutions specialist has installed lockers at 40 Kaufland stores and plans to expand this to 300 by the end of 2026, with new locations being added weekly. The locker stations are carrier-agnostic and can be used for collecting and sending parcels and for returns.
“We want to offer our customers the most convenient shopping experience possible by allowing them not only to shop with us, but also to take care of other errands and services directly on-site,” said René Wolf, managing director of leasing and commercial facility management at Kaufland. “With the parcel stations open to multiple providers, they will find another interesting offering alongside our existing services.”
Jonathan Grothaus, CEO and founder of Myflexbox, said, “Our new partnership with Kaufland is revolutionizing everyday life. As an open, neutral parcel station network, we are fundamentally open to all parcel service providers and offer Kaufland customers real added value. Flexible parcel transactions while shopping – that’s pure customer benefit, while simultaneously relieving cities of delivery traffic.”
In related news, LockerQuest has partnered with Shift Collect to bring its multi-retailer parcel lockers to sites across the UK, including Govia Thameslink Railway train stations, NCP parking locations and Staines Rugby Club, with additional installations planned in the coming months.
