Post-Expo 2015: Blue Solutions launches new blueutility electric van for last mile delivery

LinkedIn +

Blue Solutions, part of the Bolloré Group, has launched its specially modified blueutility electric van for use in the postal sector at Post-Expo 2015.

The van is based on the company’s bluecar concept, which was the best selling highway-capable electric vehicle in France in 2012. The company has now tweaked its product to provide a green alternative for last mile delivery in the postal sector.

The modifications include expanding the vehicle’s load capacity from 900 liters to 1,425 liters, an increase of nearly 60%, and installing a passenger door that can open by 85º, providing easier access for the loading and unloading of parcels. The blueutility electric van weighs approximately 255kg with one person on board, providing an urban-use range of 250km (155mi) and a top speed of 120kmh (75mph).
