Stuart, the last-mile solutions specialist, has announced a partnership with Iceland, the UK supermarket chain specializing in frozen foods.
The partnership will launch a same-day scheduled delivery offering to customers, aiming to meet the demand for convenient, flexible and fast home delivery. According to Stuart’s research, over 40% of UK customers are now ordering food and groceries monthly.
The service combines in-store shopping with home delivery. Customers can visit Iceland stores, shop for their products, and then schedule delivery within a two-hour slot on the same day.
Following a trial in nine stores, Iceland will launch the service across an additional 120 sites UK-wide.
According to Stuart, the partnership will leverage the company’s sustainable delivery network, with over 53% of deliveries completed using low-emission vehicles through an established network of courier partners. Its large transport type fleet will complete the deliveries.
Ricardo Amorim, chief revenue officer at Stuart, said, “We’re excited to be partnering with a leading brand such as Iceland to introduce innovative and sustainable delivery options that meet the evolving expectations of today’s shoppers. The scheduled same-day delivery service offers new levels of convenience to Iceland customers while maintaining the quality and choice they expect from in-store shopping.”
