Smartmile has installed its parcel machines at Lidl stores in Tampere and Espoo, Finland. The machines are open to everyone and parcels are delivered by Smartmile’s courier partners DHL Express, Matkahuolto, Postnord and DB Schenker.

Users can collect all their online purchases at a Smartmile pick-up location of their choice and return parcels at the same location. Parcels can now be received and returned at Lidl stores in Rautatienkatu in Tampere and Espoonlahti in Espoo.

“We have good experience with parcel machines in our stores and our customers have been satisfied with the increased service offering. With Smartmile’s parcel machines, we want to make our customers’ lives easier and listen to their wishes,” said Lidl operational director Nicholas Pennanen.

Smartmile’s CEO Aku Happo added, “Our mission is to make our customers’ lives easier. Smartmile enables picking up all parcels from one parcel machine, which is part of an open and shared network that is available for everyone. It is great that together with Lidl we can expand our network and further develop customer experience.”

During the early summer, Smartmile machines will also arrive in other Lidl stores, the next being at the Tukkutori store in Helsinki.
