PostNL has been selected by the Dutch government to deliver the majority of its mail under a new agreement that will take effect on January 1, 2027.
The agreement covers mail from Dutch ministries, the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV), the Social Insurance Bank (SVB), the Electoral Council, the judiciary and the Dutch Tax Administration, among others. PostNL said the government relies on it for the delivery of hundreds of millions of mail items each year.
According to PostNL, the government took into account the company’s approach to reliability, sustainability and social responsibility, as well as its efforts to create employment opportunities and its investments in postal delivery.
“The fact that the government has once again chosen PostNL is a great confirmation of its confidence in our postal delivery service,” said Maurice Unck, director of MailNL at PostNL.
“Every day, we deliver mail to everyone in the Netherlands. From communications issued by Dutch ministries and the judiciary to mail from the UWV, the SVB and the Dutch Tax Administration. Thanks to our nationwide network we can ensure a reliable mail delivery to people and organizations.”
