International mail and parcel delivery provider DES is increasing the range of delivery options available for its PacketPort e-commerce solution by incorporating International Post Corporation’s (IPC) Prime Registered Post offering.
Prime Registered Post has been specifically developed for the e-commerce market and will be offered alongside DES’s existing PacketPort Express, Tracked and Registered delivery services available to online sellers.
Prime Registered Post is a cross-border tracked parcels service that provides customers with tracking information on their goods as soon as they enter key e-commerce markets. The tracking options include priority handling, customer receipt on posting, online track and trace and customer confirmation of delivery, including a signature from the recipient if needed. There is the added security of all goods being insured up to the replacement value stated on the receipt.
Phil Coleman, chief executive of DES, said, “This is about putting customers at the center of everything we do. We are increasing our PacketPort portfolio because we want to give our customers increased choice so that they can choose a product that does what they need but is at the right price for them.
“It’s desirable to have a track and trace service on goods shipped cross-border, and particularly where goods are entering some of the world’s big e-commerce markets. But sometimes that information comes at a higher price than is affordable for some customers. IPC’s Prime Registered Post fills that gap perfectly by being value for money but without sacrificing quality and reliability.”
