As part of its ongoing investment in the regional community, Australia Post has opened a new post office in Narrandera, New South Wales.
Located at 57 East Street, the new post office replaces the temporary site on Cadell Street and offers Australia Post’s full range of services, including parcel delivery, financial services through Bank@Post, identification services and retail items such as business supplies, stationery and core postal products.
Sarah Coe, general manager of retail operations at Australia Post, said the new post office reflects the company’s commitment to upgrading services for the community.
“We’re focused on building a modern Australia Post for a modern Australia, ensuring regional communities like Narrandera can continue to access convenient and reliable services close to home,” Coe stated. “We love the fresh, modern upgrade of the new post office and we’re looking forward to welcoming locals and business customers from today. We know the local post office remains an essential connection point, which is why we’re protecting access to these services.”
Leanne Ivanoff, the owner of local business Sew Fab, welcomed the move. “It is so good to see the post office return to the main shopping district, making access far more convenient for me as a business owner and locals,” she said. “Having a new permanent home also returns confidence within the community that the post office is here to stay in our town.”
PO box customers will also benefit from upgraded boxes and new keys, providing secure and convenient access to their mail.
