Cross-border tech specialist Zonos has announced that it has been approved by the US Customs and Border Protection as a qualified party to collect and remit duty for parcels and mail that are inbound to the USA.
This means that Zonos will be able to provide a service to transportation companies whereby it shoulders the responsibility for duty liability and compliance with executive order 14324, enabling postal operators and their carriers to negotiate the new US regulations once de minimis exemption for all countries comes into force on August 29.
