Poczta Polska begins procurement process for new vehicles.

Poczta Polska has launched a procurement process for the acquisition of 2,600 vehicles for its postmen.

The tender is a step toward the company’s objectives of building a new mobility model, designed to provide employees with reliable infrastructure for field work and to standardize the rules and costs of business travel.

The three-year project, valued at PLN 323m (US$89m), is in place to create a system that increases delivery efficiency and the comfort of daily fieldwork for postmen. It will also reduce the need to use private cars. It will be implemented in stages.

“Postmen are the heart of our business. Every day, they ensure continuous delivery, reaching customers in cities and rural areas. The nature of their work requires daily mobility, which can only be provided by a reliable, efficient, safe transportation vehicle capable of accessing difficult terrain. That’s why we are beginning a thorough overhaul of our fleet with this tender,” said acting president of Poczta Polska, Sławomir Żurawski.

The next phase of the project will see several hundred company vehicles acquired for other groups working in the field, including sales representatives. Modernization of logistics and transportation is one of the fundamental pillars of Poczta Polska’s Transformation Plan.

Investments in fleet development and the development of a new mobility model are a step toward a modern, stable system supporting the company’s objective of modernizing infrastructure and operations.
