XPO Logistics, a provider of sustainable end-to-end logistics in Europe, has announced that it has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal for sustainability performance for the second year in a row.
The company achieved a record score of 82/100, placing it in the 98th percentile among all EcoVadis-rated companies, in the top 2% globally and in the top 1% of the industry.
The award measures performance across four pillars: environment, labor and human rights, sustainable environment and ethics.
XPO says it has reduced Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 20% ahead of its 2030 target.
In 2024, it reported that it had achieved its first reduction in Scope 3 emissions, avoiding more than 58,000,000kg of CO2e through cleaner energy, fuels and modal shift initiatives.
Guillaume Col, the newly appointed president for Europe at XPO Logistics, said, “EcoVadis Gold reflects the commitment of our teams to operate responsibly and transparently. This is not only a result of past efforts but also a strong foundation to accelerate our growth with customers who value sustainable supply chains.”
Valérie Chataud, senior vice president of human resources and HSSE – Europe at XPO Logistics, added, “Behind this award are the daily actions of our people – from driving low-emission trucks and sourcing responsibly, to innovating with customers and embedding ESG principles in everything we do. EcoVadis Gold confirms that sustainability is part of our culture and a shared achievement across all our European teams.”
