This year’s Parcel+Post Expo, taking place on October 21, 22 & 23, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, will host the inaugural Leadership Conference – a new addition to the program that will provide a platform for strategic decision-makers to engage with the most pressing issues facing the industry, explore high-impact innovations and shape future-ready business strategies.

What can you expect?

Delegates can expect three days of compelling thought leadership, real-world case studies and in-depth analysis from 35+ experts leading transformation across postal, parcel and e-commerce logistics. While the exhibition connects you with the latest tech, the conference will deliver the strategic intelligence you need to future-proof your organization. You can learn more about the Leadership Conference here.

Next-level industry networking

The Leadership Conference has been designed to facilitate peer-to-peer networking. Delegates will get access to the VIP lounge for coffees and refreshments and will also be able join events such as the Opening Day Drinks party.

Some of the highlights at this year’s conference:

The Digital Transformation Imperative: Technology-Driven Growth in Logistics

Speakers include: Andreas Thöni, EVP Group strategy, digital and innovation, Österreichische Post; Christian Oestergaard, lead visionary – senior group strategist of IT-production/IoT/AI, PostNord; and Aidan McGuinness, Senior Manager, AnPost

What are the critical needs for logistics companies to embrace digital transformation to remain competitive and drive sustainable growth in today’s rapidly evolving global landscape? How can cutting-edge technologies like AI, IoT, blockchain, data analytics and automation not just enhance efficiency and reduce costs, but also create entirely new business models and elevating customer experiences? Panellists will highlight real-world applications and practical strategies for integrating innovations and new technologies to adapt to changing market demands, anticipate disruptions and unlock new revenue streams.

Cross-border e-commerce: Mastering customer convenience, cross-border complexities and returns

Speakers include: Sanae Murschel, managing director of international sales, Colissimo/La Poste Group; Adam Tomczak, group head of international delivery and solutions development, Allegro; Helen Scurfield, CEO, Asendia Global Returns; and Aleksandar Alačkov, Transportation Director, Notino

This session dives into the complexities of selling globally online, focusing on how businesses can delight international customers through seamless delivery and returns, while expertly navigating diverse customs regulations, taxes and logistical hurdles inherent in cross-border e-commerce. Panellists will also discuss how efficient and customer-friendly return processes can enhance brand perception and encourage repeat business.

Beyond the doorstep: The strategic importance of OOH and locker networks

Speakers include: Merete Hammer, head of value chain, Posten Bring; Andre Veskimeister, CEO and founder, Parcel Locker Central; Thomas Wälchli, cluster lead city logistics, Swiss Post; and Christoph Knogler, CEO, Keba

Out-of-home (OOH) and locker networks are transforming parcel delivery. The panellists will discuss the strategic advantages OOH networks can offer, from reducing last-mile costs and environmental impact to enhancing customer convenience and security. Discover how optimizing beyond-the-doorstep solutions can significantly boost efficiency and customer satisfaction in today’s parcel operations.

Enhancing the delivery experience: What convenience, personalization and flexibility really mean

Speakers include: Simon Seeger, CEO, Bettermile; Tim Davies, head of out of home and indoor accounts, DPD UK; Johan Holstein, director, digital and last-mile transformation, GLS; and Laurens Himpe, chief automated parcel officer, Bpost

This session focuses on the evolving expectations of today’s recipients, exploring how convenience, personalization and flexibility redefine the parcel delivery experience. The panellists will unpack what these buzzwords truly mean in practice and reveal actionable strategies for carriers and retailers to exceed customer demands and build lasting loyalty.

Fireside chat: Monetizing circular strategies

Speakers include:  Hans Leijen, circular supply chain consultant, Circular Supply Chain Network; and Val Karren, sustainability director, DANX Carousel Group

How can embracing circularity drive new revenue streams, reduce costs, enhance brand reputation and build more resilient supply chains in the dynamic parcel sector? Panellists will discuss case studies that reveal opportunities for circularity models that have a strong impact and lead to new revenue streams.
