Hived, the UK’s first fully electric parcel delivery network, has announced a significant expansion of its service offering, launching all-electric haulage and long-distance transportation.
The company will operate its existing fleet of 44 metric ton electric HGVs seven days a week from sites in Greater London and the Midlands, with routes scheduled at different times throughout the day to maximize network efficiency and flexibility, connecting cities and distribution hubs across the UK.
This expansion is the product of Hived’s growing investment in heavy-duty electric vehicles, in partnership with Mercedes-Benz and Daimler Trucks. The company plans for continued fleet growth through 2026, aiming to create the UK’s largest fleet of e-HGVs designed for long-haul operations.
The trucks are built to handle the demands of modern logistics without compromising on performance, reliability or service quality, according to the company.
Mathias Krieger, co-founder and CEO at Hived, said, “Every electric truck we put on the road is proof that a better way forward exists. Our investment in electric infrastructure isn’t just about growth, it’s about rewriting the rulebook for logistics and proving that the most sustainable option can also be the highest-quality solution on the market.”
Isabel Fuell, VP of operations strategy and expansion at Hived, added, “We’re not just announcing a future service; we’re already running electric trunking routes every day. With 44t e-HGVs operating from London and the Midlands, we’re open for business and ready to help brands make their supply chains more reliable, cleaner and futureproof.”
