Poczta Polska has taken another step forward in its digital transformation strategy after launching a tender to acquire just under 5,5000 mobile terminals, along with a five-year service and maintenance package. A tender for new tablets for post staff is also to be launched soon.
The company said its objective is to equip delivery and logistics employees with modern work tools, which will in turn streamline operational performance and improve the quality of service.
The project includes the rental of mobile terminals along with services, maintenance and accessories, such as protective cases, screen protectors and an additional battery.
The new devices – equipped with features such as barcode scanners, GPS and cashless payment functions – will be adapted to the specific needs of fieldwork, branches and warehouses.
They will replace several previously used, outdated devices. The acquisition is expected to accelerate task execution and the elimination of manual and inefficient processes.
The investment aims to streamline the work of couriers and logistics employees (in cash logistics and retail warehouses), improve customer service quality and increase operational security.
“The project will automate processes and standardize equipment, which will translate into savings, reduced operational risk and improved timeliness,” said Radosław Małkiewicz, director of logistics network architecture at Poczta Polska. “Customers will benefit from faster and more transparent service and higher quality.”
Bids must be submitted by 4:00pm on June 18. The company aims to have at least some of the devices delivered to users this year.
