From April 1, customers will be able to buy the new Yelllow cell-phone plan from Austrian Post at 1,700 post offices and postal partners, as well as online at www.YELLLOW.at.
The postal operator will also be offering a range of smartphones from Samsung, Xiaomi and Emporia as well as 5G routers from ZTE at its post offices. These will be available to take away the same day or will be delivered to the customer’s home, depending on availability.
Walter Oblin, the CEO of Austrian Post, commented, “With Yelllow, we’re bringing a breath of fresh air to the Austrian mobile phone market: simple, easy-to-understand plans and genuine in-person advice. This is a service that no other provider offers. We combine this nationwide commitment to consultation with consistently affordable rates.
“We are there to assist our customers in person at approximately 1,700 post offices and postal partners. Yelllow is our offering for everyone who wants a reliable mobile communications partner that is accessible not only digitally but also in person.”
New branding and uniforms
From April 1, Austrian Post will also update all branches with the new Yelllow branding and display areas, and all branch employees will be equipped with new uniforms. Instead of ‘formal’ shirts and blouses, employees can choose from polo shirts, vests and hoodies designed by Marina Hoermanseder.
The new uniforms were tested and developed in collaboration with branch employees to ensure comfort. Black base colors with yellow accents create a modern, uniform look and visually complement the outfits of delivery personnel, according to the post.
