Swiss Post introduces inflight options for parcel deliveries

LinkedIn +

National postal operator Swiss Post has launched a series of inflight options enabling customers to manage their parcels and decide when, where and how they want to receive them. To offer even greater convenience when receiving parcels, Swiss Post is also trialling delivery time notifications.

Incoming consignments can be managed online in the Customer Center on the Swiss Post website, where they can select the delivery day, the time of delivery (either evening or early-morning), or redirect their delivery to another address. It is also possible to have parcels left at a desired location or delivered to a neighbor.

As part of a trial, certain Swiss Post customers will also receive an e-mail or SMS informing them of their delivery window. This allows them to better prepare for the arrival of their parcels. If the trial is successful, it will be introduced at the end of February 2017.
