Mitie, the facilities management company, has announced the launch of a newly developed parcel tracking system called Pinpoint. Mitie’s Total Document Management business developed the app to address the needs of the modern mobile workforce.
The new software allows users to track goods and deliveries from one device and platform, across single sites or multi-site locations.
Its features include real time tracking; email notifications for parcel status updates; live service-level agreement (SLA) indicators to manage workflows; image capture to record any parcel damage at source; and built-in near field communication (NFC) functionality for more accurate proof of receipt via ID card scanning.
James Gilding, managing director of Mitie’s Total Document Management business, said, “This next generation of tracking technology add real value to both our staff and customers.
