After listening to customer feedback, Australia Post will maintain its existing arrangements for holding parcels. Parcels will still be held for 10 days, free of charge, before being returned to sender.

Australia Post had previously sought customer feedback about holding parcels for up to 30 days in return for a small fee. From the outset, the post advised that if customers were unreceptive to the changes then it would not proceed.

A statement by Australia Post said, “Our customers are at the core of what we do, and we will continue to explore a range of new initiatives to provide them with greater choice and convenience.”
