Vanderlande records orders worth US$1.5bn in 2015

Vanderlande, a supplier of automated sorting systems for the post and parcel sector and beyond, has recorded orders worth €1.4bn (US$1.5bn) in 2015, an increase of €400m (US$434m) when compared to the previous year.

In its parcel and postal division, Vanderlande secured new contracts with several major parcel delivery companies including FedEx, SF Express in China and DHL Leipzig, part of Deutsche Post DHL.

The group also secured a number of contracts for its warehouse automation division, including automated case picking (ACP) contracts for major food retailers such as Albert Heijn in the Netherlands, E.Leclerc in France, Consum in Spain and Cencosud in Chile. Elsewhere the group continued its success in the baggage handling system and life-cycle service market for multiple airports around the world.
