Logistics automation specialist Vanderlande has completed its acquisition of Siemens Logistics in Europe, the Middle East and Asia (EMEA) following respective regulatory approvals.
Vanderlande will now begin the integration of Siemens Logistics’ business outside the USA into its operations, enabling the company to respond more rapidly to increased demand for automated logistics solutions. The process of obtaining regulatory clearance for the US-based operations is ongoing.
“This marks an important step for Vanderlande,” said Andrew Manship, president and CEO of Vanderlande. “We’re excited to welcome the Siemens Logistics teams and to start the journey together on delivering smarter, future-ready automation solutions for our airport customers.”
According to Vanderlande, the joint set-up will enhance customer value by providing accelerated access to advanced technologies, improving global presence for better local service and creating further customer value through synergies in technology development.
With this acquisition, Vanderlande said it is building a firm foundation for sustainable growth within the wider automated logistics market based on the ‘strong and reliable contribution’ of its airport business.
