Australia Post to establish letter industry consultative forum

LinkedIn +

Australia Post is set to form a new industry working group to support the implementation of regulatory reform for letter services and to consider other strategic issues facing the postal sector.

The decision follows the senate inquiry into the licensed post office network in Australia, which recommended the establishment of a formal working group of industry stakeholders.

The group will be chaired by Helen Kroger, former senator for the state of Victoria, and will include representatives from the printing industry, mail houses, licensed post office network and employee unions. Other participants may be included as required.

Australia Post is committed to a consultative approach to letters reform and the first working group session will be held before Monday October 12, 2015.
