CEVA Logistics has announced the opening of a new large-scale warehouse operation in Derby, UK, strengthening its position as a logistics partner for global e-commerce brands. The facility is scheduled to go live in August 2026.
The 47,000m2 warehouse will handle the storage, handling and distribution of customer inventory, supporting faster deliveries across the UK. The operation is expected to create approximately 300 new jobs in the region.
The facility has been built with sustainability and efficiency in mind, featuring EPC A+ certification, a BREEAM Excellent rating, and a solar roof installation designed to support lower-energy operations. It includes more than 147,000 dynamic pick faces and variable storage locations, providing scalable capacity for future growth, with additional capacity available through further racking installation and conversion of block-stack floor space.
The project moved from contract award to operational commencement in fewer than 20 weeks, which CEVA attributed to close collaboration across its business development, solution design, legal, project management and account management teams.
Mike Weaver, managing director of contract logistics for the UK and Ireland at CEVA Logistics, said the new operation demonstrates the company’s ability to deliver large-scale logistics solutions at speed: “The Derby facility combines operational scale, sustainability and flexibility to support the evolving requirements of today’s e-commerce market. This new site will also further strengthen CEVA Logistics’ contract logistics network in the UK and reinforce the company’s expertise in delivering scalable eCommerce and retail supply chain solutions.”
