Parcel locker network provider Yeep! has rolled out its 1,000th locker at a Motor Fuel Group (MFG) forecourt in Haverhill in the UK, providing customers with convenient access to parcel collection and returns 24 hours a day.
MFG now has over 100 Yeep! lockers installed across its estate, and hundreds more planned in the months ahead as part of its wider £170m (US$230m) investment plans to create to ‘travel retail destinations’ across its network this year.
“Our sites are evolving, with ultra rapid EV charging, vehicle valeting, food-to-go and c-stores – they’re no longer just about fuel,” said Adam Wadlow, chief investment officer at Motor Fuel Group.
“Customers expect more from their local forecourt, it needs to deliver maximum convenience and a secure, 24/7 parcel locker fits naturally within our retail eco system, adding huge value to our offering without adding complexity. We are delighted to be growing Yeep!’s network, providing our customers with a safe, highly accessible parcel locker facility.”
According to Yeep!, it has built its network with an emphasis on simplicity and convenience for both hosts and users. The lockers, supplied by kernTerminal, are battery-operated, standalone units requiring only a firm, level surface, no power, no groundworks and cause no disruption during installation.
“Crossing the 1,000-locker mark is a big moment for Yeep!, but what matters most is where we’re placing them,” said Noël Shapton, CEO of Yeep!. “This locker [at MFG Haverhill] isn’t just a number. It’s another step toward making delivery and returns genuinely easy for people, right where they already are – in this case, fueling up, grabbing a coffee or on their daily commute.”
