Cleveron and Migros to install 70 parcel lockers in Switzerland

Estonian parcel locker producer Cleveron and Swiss retail company Migros have partnered to establish 70 parcel lockers in Switzerland by the end of 2021.

Cleveron’s parcel lockers are an addition to the existing Migros PickMup locker network, which enables customers to order products online and have them delivered to any parcel locker in a Migros supermarket across Switzerland.

Cleveron has begun developing automated parcel solutions in response to the growth of e-commerce parcel volumes over the Covid-19 pandemic. These include not only these indoor lockers but also parcel robots and the outdoor parcel locker, the Cleveron 352, which was released in October.

Arti Kütt, Cleveron’s chief operating officer, said, “This partnership is quite a remarkable step! Migros is one of the leading players in the region and known for its high quality and values. We are certain that this first step is the beginning of a strong long-term partnership.”

Matthias Wälchli, head of collection and delivery services and responsible for the click-and-collect solutions at the Federation of Migros Cooperatives, said, “Cleveron understands our needs and provides smart and innovative solutions. We now have achieved an important milestone and have equipped a substantial number of our pickup stations with lockers, more to come.”
