Amazon customers will be able to collect their orders from parcel lockers at selected Aral gas stations across Germany thanks to a new cooperation agreement.
Thirty Amazon lockers have been installed so far, with more to follow at Aral’s network of 2,400 gas stations across the country.
“Our collaboration with Aral to install Amazon lockers at their service stations is another example of our customer-centricity,” explained Rocco Bräuniger, country manager DACH at Amazon. “By using the extensive Aral network, we significantly expand the possibilities of our customers for convenient package collection.
“This collaboration not only strengthens our logistics infrastructure but also corresponds to the long-term strategy of seamlessly integrating us into the everyday life of our customers. It’s a win-win situation that combines Amazon’s digital expertise with Aral’s physical presence and ultimately offers our customers in Germany more flexibility and convenience.”
Achim Bothe, CEO of Aral, said, “Gas stations are an important hub of mobility today and in the future. The cooperation with Amazon is another step toward expanding our range of services at Aral gas stations.”
Aral already has around 180 parcel lockers from several providers in operation at its service stations and is planning further expansion.
“We are further developing our network to respond to a wide variety of customer needs and to be the first choice of our customers,” Bothe added.
