DHL Express UK has launched Verified Delivery, a new service designed to enhance the final-mile security of high-value shipments.
This optional feature requires verification at the point of delivery, where the recipient is asked to present a unique QR code transmitted to them in advance along with standard tracking information.
DHL said the process is designed to be both secure and user-friendly, with no additional technical requirements for the recipient beyond access to the QR code on a mobile device or in printed form.
Mike Clark, senior director of operations programs and performance at DHL Express, said, “Our Verified Delivery service is a testament to our customer-first approach and reflects our commitment to continually raising the bar on shipment security. By investing in smart, secure solutions, we are able to meet the evolving needs of businesses and consumers and provide a more seamless delivery experience”.
Verified Delivery is now available in 24 countries, including major e-commerce markets such as the UK, USA, Italy and France. DHL Express has confirmed plans to extend the service to 10 additional countries by the end of September 2025, including China, Japan and the UAE.
