Jersey Post launches digital services for business customers

Jersey Post is set to launch a new range of digital business services that will enable clients to streamline and facilitate customer communications from the point where data is received, through to delivery of the final message or document.

The new Harmonie system is being implemented by UK-based software provider Sefas and will enable Jersey Post to offer a print to digital migration services, with optional storage and file access, for local customers.

Paul Marett, director of IT at Jersey Post, said, “There is no doubt that the ways in which businesses communicate with their clients today has changed. With such a huge, and rapid, shift toward a demand for online services, combined with the requirement for instant access to matters affecting our daily lives, digital communication is very much in the ascendancy.

“We recognize this and as such, have now introduced a range of digital services to complement our delivery of physical mail to consumers and corporate customers.”

With the new software, Jersey Post receives raw customer data and then converts this from digital into analog form. While businesses may not want to send statements by email, they may choose to send an email or a text to say that a statement is ready to be viewed. Jersey Post’s new software provides the necessary PDF and helps plan the email communication that prompts the customer to go online and check the details.

The Harmonie software that Jersey Post is using offers fantastic flexibility and scope in terms of communications management and how this can be tailored to a mixed range of customer preferences.”
