International retail specialist Modern Expo has unveiled its Loko parcel locker series, which suits a wide range of e-commerce, domestic and cold storage purposes.

Loko’s Logis configuration is a sleek, contactless system designed to provide fast and efficient e-commerce pick-up and drop-off at high-footfall locations within an urban environment. Thanks to its modular design, the unit can be combined with security systems, printers, shelters, and even planters and green walls. One client has even included an air monitoring system that can be viewed by customers.

Fresh is the cold storage version of the Logis unit and has been adapted to facilitate the delivery and storage of groceries and pharmaceutical items. The secure unit can be combined with AI-based security systems to ensure the owner is alerted as soon as a module is tampered with.

Eco Logis is a more compact, basic version of the traditional locker system and has been combined with a battery system for energy efficiency. It leverages Bluetooth technology to facilitate the delivery and collection of parcels. Similarly, the Common configuration provides a secure smart letterbox and parcel collection service for domestic applications.

Local, which is the newest addition to the range, leverages solar technology to provide a secure pick-up and drop-off point for larger items, as well as mail.

Dmytro Visyn, chief product officer at Modern Expo, said, “This range of lockers is very new for us and is essential in helping logistical partners and operators to scale their model to be closer to the client, especially new generations that no longer want to wait for courier or even home delivery. So this is a line of products that is important for them.”
