Beumer Group will launch its new semi-automated bulk parcel-handling product at Post-Expo 2015. The product has been designed to satisfy the demands of parcel distribution hubs for increasingly high-capacity and faster handling of bulk parcels prior to automated singulation

and sortation.

“We saw the need to offer a fast ROI by delivering increased throughput and faster turnaround time for unloading of a higher number of containers at the same gate in a given time,” explained Martin Mossinkoff, managing director of Logistic Systems at Beumer Group. “The product adds a new dimension to streamlining and space-optimizing the parcel handling process and even overcomes the restrictions to provide a safer and more comfortable work environment.”

The new product has been specifically designed for hubs challenged by limited building size and optimizes gate unloading efficiency per door. Analysis has determined that, depending on the parcel mix, the new automated system can process parcels up to three times faster than manual unloading when integrated in a complete process that includes an automatic singulator such as the Automatic Parcel Singulator from Beumer Group. One of the many features of the new system is a height-adjustable working area that can be customized to each operator to enable a more ergonomic working position. The design also simplifies trouble-shooting and maintenance, enabling routine tasks to be completed by the in-house maintenance team.

The new Beumer Group product will be launched on Stand 3090 at Post Expo 2015, September 29 to October 1, in Paris, France.
