National postal operator Jersey Post has announced that it will be enhancing its Ship2me freight forwarding service from September 8, 2016, by offering daily shipping to the Channel Islands.

Jersey Post launched Ship2me in 2008 to help local residents import goods from UK retailers currently unable to ship to the Channel Islands. The service provides assistance with VAT and customs declarations, and offers a quick and easy way to expand into the Channel Island’s market.

Currently based at a warehouse in Southampton, the Ship2me depot is now set to relocate to a Fraser Freight depot based in Portsmouth, to enable faster delivery times from the UK for customers. Jersey Post completed the acquisition of Fraser Freight on August 18, 2016, with the intention of improving international shipments.

At present, Ship2me offers twice weekly sailings, but the change in warehouse location will facilitate daily sailings from Monday to Friday into both Jersey and Guernsey.
