DPD Germany and same-day delivery company Tiramizoo have partnered with cash register specialist Poe to integrate an easy-to-use same-day delivery option for German retailers at the point of sale.
Brick-and-mortar retailers using POSMAN cash register systems or Poe’s Trademan merchandise management system can quickly offer customers delivery on the same day, and can even perform immediate stock checks at other branches. This means that if goods are unavailable at one location, they can simply be delivered to the customer’s home by courier from another. The new cash register integration also enables the same-day delivery of goods purchased online that can then be delivered from a retail outlet.
Michael Knaupe, director of products and services at DPD Germany, said, “It has never been easier for high-street retailers to combine a high level of product availability on-site with convenient same-day delivery. We are gradually planning to integrate further services with the Poe cash register systems, enabling retailers to link their sales and shipping channels even more closely.”
