CitySprint expands specified hour delivery across the UK

Same-day UK delivery company CitySprint has expanded its specified hour delivery technology ‘On The Dot’ to retailers across the UK. The solution now covers 99% of the UK population.

Launched in 2015, On The Dot has been developed specifically to help retailers offer the convenient and intelligent delivery solutions that consumers have come to expect, at a price that competes with pure players like Amazon.

On The Dot is based on technology that is designed to dynamically display capacity across the CitySprint delivery network. The platform makes one-hour delivery time slots visible to both retailers and shoppers based on factors such as customer and store locations.

A critical part of its capability is On The Dot’s open API, which means that retailers can easily integrate the technology directly into their checkouts and EPOS, both online and in-store. Smaller retailers can also buy bundles of deliveries and create an account to offer On The Dot immediately in-store or over the phone.

On the dot can also be used as a flexible last mile solution for customers who click but don’t collect, reducing levels of stock abandoned in stores and saving retailers the cost of a refunded sale and shipping costs back to their distribution center.

CitySprint CEO Patrick Gallagher commented, “The old model of deliveries on retailers’ terms is dead and gone. In today’s world, convenience trumps speed when it comes to buying online or in-store. This is exactly why we developed On The Dot, the only service of its kind, which allows us to use and manage delivery capacity in a whole new way. Thanks to its technology, retailers now have access to incredible convenience at a reasonable cost.”
