Toll Express, part of logistics provider Toll Group, has officially completed it’s A$20m (US$13.9m) renovation of its depot at Perth Airport in Australia.

Project management firm APP Corporation oversaw the renovation, which was carried out by local building company Georgiou Group. In recent months, Toll has spent more than A$80m (US$55.6m) on major property investments and upgrades to reinforce its logistics capabilities in Western Australia.

Larry O’Regan, general manager for Toll Express, said, “All of Toll’s facilities are designed with safety and customers in mind first and foremost, and this site is no exception. A massive steel overhead walkway has been built to minimize pedestrians interacting with equipment and to make it a safer working environment. The impressive 564ft structure spans the width of the breezeway and connects the main office with our training room.

“In addition, the breezeway has doubled in length to 940ft to allow for 20 vehicles at a time to deliver freight, significantly reducing the time our customers and suppliers have to wait. The service we’re able to offer our Western Australia customers improves even more by connecting this impressive new facility with our unmatched national freight network.”
