Mailing and logistics provider P2P Group is expanding its distribution hub near London Heathrow Airport so that it will handle approximately 95% of its delivery volumes worldwide.

The London Heathrow hub has been operational for several months, but the impending developments will further strengthen P2P’s direct mail and parcel dispatch capabilities. The hub has been approved by the Civil Aviation Authority and includes x-ray capabilities enabling the direct handover of mail and parcels to airlines to be flown across the world.

Paul Galpin, managing director of P2P Mailing, said, “Our hub builds on P2P’s ethos of independence and impartiality. By freeing us from the involvement of intermediary partners in the supply chain, and giving us extended control over the delivery process, the hub enables us to offer improved quality and transit times to our retailers, which of course are benefits that improve the consumer experience. It’s a unique facility for an independent logistics firm and an exciting chapter in P2P’s continued growth.”
