Bleckmann has announced the opening of a new distribution center in Riudellots, Spain, as the supply chain management partner for fashion and lifestyle brands seeks to strengthen is position in Southern Europe and improve logistics solutions in the region.
The multi-user facility has a total storage capacity of just under 10,000m2, with 10 loading docks. It features unloading conveyors, RFID tunnels and 20 pallet trucks, and is compliant with PCI standards and equipped with an activity license.
The Spanish Girona DC will cover a range of value-added services, including customs handling, customer assessment, quality control, labelling, bagging, 3PL activities (inbound, pick and pack, outbound, stock control) and returns management).
Located at Riudellots de La Selva, Girona, it is strategically positioned for optimal accessibility, next to major motorways AP-7 and C-35 and national roads N-II and C-63. It is also close to transportation hubs including Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO), the Port of Barcelona and Port of Tarragona, and Girona Rail Freight Terminal.
Quentin Godfirnon, Bleckmann’s chief operations officer in Spain, said the new distribution center represents the company’s commitment to supporting the growth ambitions of its clients in Spain and Southern Europe. “Its strategic location and advanced capabilities will enable us to deliver faster, smarter, and more sustainable logistics solutions,” he said.
