Data cleansing specialist Data8 has integrated the what3words location app to bolster its advanced address validation services.

Founded in 2005, Data8 provides a range of address management and data validation services to improve customer data quality. Data8 customers will now be given the option to include what3words when they choose to integrate Data8’s PredictiveAddres on their site, with the choice to switch the service on or off at their convenience.

Data8’s product, address validation, allows the customer to autocomplete their address with PredictiveAddres by simply typing out a small portion of their address from any line. The address validation tool uses over 27 regularly updated data sources that ensure that the address information is valid from the point of capture.

Whilst integrated through Data8’s address validation services, what3words will offer the customer a quick and precise address search by simply inputting their exact what3words location.

Antony Allen, managing director of Data8, said, “Many of our customers have been asking for a precise geolocation solution that will help improve their customer service and delivery. When we got to know what3words and its capabilities, we knew it was a perfect fit for our clients and Data8; we are excited to be working with what3words.”

Chris Sheldrick, co-founder and CEO of what3words, said, “Simply adding what3words to Data8’s excellent address validation systems will deliver improved accuracy and efficiency for their customers given the importance of location precision. We’re really excited to be working with them.”
