Evri Group has announced plans to recruit more than 10,000 people across its network as it prepares for peak season and targets further growth following what it described as a record financial year.
The announcement follows a year in which the company reported revenue growth of 29%, bolstered by its completed merger with DHL eCommerce UK, alongside a 17% increase in group parcel volumes, taking the company past one billion parcels handled annually. Evri Group is now targeting a 40% increase in parcel volumes to 1.4 billion by 2030, following an investment of more than £80m (US$109m) across its network, infrastructure and technology during the 2025/26 financial year.
Evri, the group’s core operating brand, is creating more than 7,000 community courier roles to strengthen its self-employed network ahead of peak season, offering delivery rounds close to couriers’ homes.
Evri Premium, a network operating under DHL, is separately recruiting more than 2,000 owner-drivers nationwide to support its dedicated premium delivery network. While applicants with access to a large, long-wheelbase van are particularly suited to the role, the brand said it is for the first time inviting interest from candidates without a van through a new ‘no van, no problem’ proposition.
Carl Lyon, chief operating officer at Evri Group, said, “The Evri Group’s success is built on the dedication and expertise of our people, and by investing in our teams now, we not only prepare ourselves for another busy peak season but also support our future growth plans. We are already delivering more than one billion parcels a year, and by strengthening our workforce across both our courier and premium delivery networks, we are putting the steps in place as we build toward our ambition of becoming a 1.4 billion parcel business by 2030.”
The company said couriers joining its self-employed network would have access to its new Evri-ware courier app, which offers optimized route planning and faster scanning. Evri Group is also recruiting for roles including locally based support staff who help onboard new couriers, along with head office positions such as those in the newly launched Evri Group Sales Academy.
Successful applicants can access benefits through Evri Group’s partnership with flexible benefits platform Onsi, including early access to pay and 24/7 GP appointments. Eligible couriers can also receive a £3,300 (US$4,500) contribution over two years toward an electric vehicle through Evri’s Go Electric scheme.
